Earrings

If you don’t plan to wear them after the wedding, I definitely wouldn’t get a piercing for a one day event. Have you tried clip on earrings?

Have you tried clip on? I had 3 piercings on my right ear and 2 on my left, all had closed since I near wore earrings. I got them re-pierced for our wedding but continued to wear them after so they stayed pierced.

You can actually just poke through where the piercing already is! Just make sure to sanitize your hands and your earrings, and you'll need a little time to heal. They will be a little sensitive for awhile so I'd do it sooner rather than later, and practice wearing earrings on the weekends and then letting them rest during the week. That's what I did. Mine closed when I was 4 years old. Then in college I decided I wanted to wear earrings again. I just poked them in! No blood or anything.

I don’t wear earrings. But I like it. I view it as “my style” and “my personal look” because it’s not common. But I do wear a lot of fun necklaces, bracelets, bangles. I tried to wear earrings years ago for prom and they always look/feel weird to me because I’m not used to seeing them on my face. So I don’t even bother. I didn’t wear earrings for my first wedding, I’m not wearing earrings for this wedding and I certainly wouldn’t get them pierced just for one day.

Don’t let anyone push you into something that’s not you or that you’re not comfortable with. I was trying on a veil and the sales woman told me “you’ll regret not wearing earrings on your wedding day” after I told her I wasn’t interested in earrings and that my piercings had closed up. 🙄 At any rate, I didn’t wear earrings and have no regret. 😊 If you want another accessory, what about a hair comb or clip?

I'm going through the same debate! My ears are closed up as well and I'm not sure. I'm really waiting to see if I find a pair of earrings I want to wear before deciding whether or not to pierce my ears.

I personally think you would look just fine without earrings... I'm all for piercings (I love all mine) but if I was only doing it for the one day, I would probably forgo it and try something else. Then again, my ears always take months to heal with new piercings... so I'm slightly biased in my thinking.

My friend had no earrings though (she always swells up like a balloon no matter the metal) and I honestly didnt think she looked bad. If people know you without earrings, I dont think they will notice. Keep us posted on what you decide though. Best wishes and happy planning!
