Early Wedding gifts and Thank you cards.

So I am getting married on May 21, 2016. Today my FH and I received our first wedding gift in the mail. I never thought I'd receive one this early and had just planned on sending Thank you cards at the same time after the wedding. So I am getting married on May 21, 2016. Today my FH and I received our first wedding gift in the mail. I never thought I'd receive one this early and had just planned on sending Thank you cards at the same time after the wedding. Since this one is so early should I send a thank you card now or do I wait for after the wedding?

    We got our first monetary gifts today. I was thinking I should probably send the thank yous now as well. We did get one physical gift as few weeks ago, but they are coming to the wedding, so i was holding off on that one.

    Spinoff question though, for monetary gifts, do you cash the checks right away? Obviously if I cash the checks I would write a thank you note first.

    I would cash the checks right away. I know how I am with keeping track of checks. I would forget about it the longer it took for people to cash them and think I have more money then I do in my account.
