Earliest date to reschedule to?

Neeva, on March 17, 2020 at 1:15 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8

Hey all!!

What you guys thoughts on the earliest one should reschedule for? What have other April brides rescheduled for??

We were April 11th and my venue gave me an option of July 4th. I think that's too early but thought I'd ask others.

We are having our wedding in Tampa so would like to avoid hurricane season which is most of the end of the year. If not July, when? Maybe November - January?

They're predicting that we will be back to "normal" around July or August. September is the earliest I'd feel comfortable with.

Thanks Caytyln. That's what I would feel more comfortable with too but my venue does not have any other availability.

Guess I have to get married next year or risk July 4th

I always thought a December Christmas'y wedding would be beautiful. Good luck with your decision!

I agree that you want to give a little buffer to these predictions. They're just people's best guess based on how well people comply with social isolation policies so I would avoid July if possible and aim for the fall or next year.

I was also 4/11 and we postponed to 9/26. I've talked to our coordinator and we will reassess in June/July if we need to move to 2021 if this situation doesn't get better by the summer. July 4th is definitely a little risky depending on how many of your guests need to travel, how many are at risks etc. I would feel more comfortable pushing it toward the end of the year because it would suck to have to postpone the 2nd time. Goodluck with whatever you decide!! We'll get through this.

We rescheduled our April 25th wedding for September 13th. As was said on the news, July/August is when things should hopefully be back to normal. My dad didn't want to go any later than September/October because we don't really know if the virus will come back next season.

We have postponed our April 25th wedding to September 5th. Hope you are able to figure your new date out. This is so heartbreaking.

April 18th, I rescheduled to March 27th 2021. I did not want to have to risk rescheduling twice, this has put a huge emotional toll on my fiancé and I. We have spent so much already we did not want to lose any deposits so that was the earliest all of our vendors could accommodate our spring wedding plans (outdoor ceremony, tented reception). It really sucks but that's what we had to work with. We were so ready to be married and were already planning our 1 year anniversary. I think it is an individual decision but did not want to risk another 2020 date and anything late in the year ran into other weddings in our circle so 2021 it was.
