E-vites During Covid-19

Hi bride-to-be’s! My wedding is planned for mid-Sept in Maui (destination coming from CA) and I was getting ready to order our wedding invitations to be printed soon so we could collect RSVPs by end of June. However, with the uncertainty of the next few months am now considering doing e-vites instead in the case that my wedding needs to be postponed and then I wouldn’t have sent printed invitations with the wrong date (and spent the money on them). E-vites would also be easy to alter if the next few months pan out differently than expected. Going this route would also buy me a bit more time to assess the situation and send e-vites later than order now and wait for invitations to print. Anyone going this route? If so, what service are you using? Would love to hear other thoughts too!

I think that’s fine. A lot of people now a days go with online invites and online RSVPs. The problem though lies in older folk who aren’t as technologically advanced - they would need a paper invite anyway

The only real issue is that Evites sometimes go to spam. So you may have to spend extra time tracking down people who don't RSVP.

We did this for our original invites and it was easy to postpone our May wedding to a later date.

Also, evicted let’s you know if they have looked at the invitations and you can quickly communicate with them if there any additional changes.

I'm doing them. I'm using Greenvelope. I like their interface for keeping track of rsvps and such. You can sign up for a free account, make invites, and even send yourself invites before you ever pay - if you want to give it a try.
