E-mail Rsvp’s (freak out)

Sara, on June 11, 2019 at 7:44 PM Posted in Planning 0 6
I can not seem to understand how people don’t understand what “RSVP at *********@*****.***” means!!!!
Seriously that’s what it says on the bottom of our invitations and we’ve had people come up to us and say we haven’t RSVP’ed because we don’t know how and we even had some people send us our invitations back when we didn’t even supply an RSVP card, envelope or stamp...
I am just blown away that people don’t understand that in the world we live in. We were trying to make things easier for people and us.

I could see the confusion cause usually you do it on the wedding website or be reg mail.

Yeah, email isn’t a traditional RSVP method so I can see the confusion.

I understand your frustration. My RSVP deadline is on Friday and we still haven't heard from a lot of people. My fiance created a Facebook page and invited everyone that has a Facebook that we invited to the wedding to the page. He asked people to please RSVP via mail. He tried to make it clear to people that it is important we know who plans on attending as well as any allergies or food restrictions people have. Our meal is buffet style and if people have certain allergies or food restrictions they will get a special plated meal to accommodate them. We are also having a breakfast the day after and our venue wants a count so we need to know who is attending that as well.

I sent RSVP cards but had our website added asking people to RSVP via the website for meal choice. The cards are more for the "nos". People are just terrible with rsvps and you will probably have to follow up with people regardless.

Honestly I agree with you!! It's not like it's hard to figure out .. but yet people still manage to not do it or be confused. My friend gave me an excuse that oh well if some people haven't been invited before they wouldn't just know or assume. But it's like RIGHT THERE.anyway, don't be surprised if some don't even RSVP either

Do you have a wedding website people can RSVP on? We did paper stamped & addressed RSVPs and allowed people to RSVP on our website, we were still waiting on 61 people when our RSVP date came. We just had to contact them, it really took about an hour to text/email everyone between the two of us so not a huge deal. I could see emailing be an extra step people don't want to do, just since they have a hard time putting an envelope in the mail or going on our website. My mom had her cell & email for my shower and only 1 person emailed, everyone else texted.
