Dying in your wedding dreams

Francesca, on September 26, 2017 at 9:11 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7

Ever since I brought my wedding dress I started having wedding nightmares. I know it's common because it means it's finally happening and whatnot. But my dreams (every single one) have been me dying either at my wedding or right before. One night was having cancer. One night was someone stabbing me at the altar. And last night was getting into a car wreck the night before but dying the morning of.

Not that I want anyone to die.. but I'm the only one in my dreams!! What do you guys think this means? I'm in a full panick mode today!

I think you're stressed and your mind is conflating that stress with unpleasant thoughts and fears. It might be worth a few sessions with a therapist to talk out your worries so your sleeping brain can stop representing them this way, but I don't think it automatically means disaster.

If it helps, I have sex with Republican senators in my wedding dreams. Right under the arch, in the aisle, at the reception, you name it. It's happened on more than five separate nights now. I am 100% serious about this.

    I'd welcome a stabbing.

    Hi date twin Smiley smile

I'm super into dreams and what they mean! If I ever feel unsettled about a dream, I go to dreammoods.com which is an online dream dictionary! I'm not saying it's 100% accurate, but this may calm you a bit:

"To dream that you die in your dream symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or your life. You are undergoing a transitional phase and are becoming more enlightened or spiritual. Although such a dream may bring about feelings of fear and anxiety, it is no cause for alarm as it is often considered a positive symbol. Dreams of experiencing your own death usually means that big changes are ahead for you. You are moving on to new beginnings and leaving the past behind. These changes does not necessarily imply a negative turn of events. Metaphorically, dying can be seen as an end or a termination to your old ways and habits. So, dying does not always mean a physical death, but an ending of something. If you dream that someone is telling you that you are going die, then it implies that you are being pressured to make an important change or choice. You are about to embark on some new life adventure."

My comment is literally glitching or something, but basically what Ashlee said.

@dael that's so funny!!! My stabbing dream was because my FH coworker was in love with my FH.. I don't like her in real life or dream world!

@ashlee thank you so much!!! I do have a lot of changes going on. Spiritually and mentally!! Makes total sense!

@Del actually laughing out loud at my desk right now.

I've had a couple dying dreams. One of mine actually involved cancer as well. So, at least you aren't alone!
