Dyeable Shoes

Stephanie, on April 11, 2018 at 8:10 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9
Does anyone have any recommendations on dyeable shoes? Our colors are Steel Blue and Black. The bridesmaid and Matron of Honor dresses are in steel blue.

I called David's Bridal and Steel Blue isn't one of the colors they dye - Plus they couldn't even give me a price if they did have that color.

Ideally my FH would like the the bridesmaids shoe color to match the dress. I'm okay with that it it's not a fortune for both the shoes and dye.

My other option if I can't find dyeables is silver shoes, but I can't find any silver that is low key (everything is so sparkly). At least with silver the bridesmaids might where the shoes again.

Any help is appreciated😊

Why not black shoes? They can definitely wear black shoes again and black shoes are easy to find. Dyed shoes seem sooooooo dated.

My FH suggested black, but I just didn't think it went well with the color we choose. I initially did not want to do dyeable shoes because of the cost and the fact that the wedding party most likely wouldn't wear the shoes again. To make my FH husband happy I just wanted to explore any suggestions on dyeables, to see if it wasn't a good fit for us.

I am going to go to a shoe smith (I can’t think of what they are called) locally and have mine dyed. Mine aren’t technically marketed as dyable however I was pretty sure they were and then saw on preownedweddingdress someone with my exact shoes who dyed them so I emailed her to find out how she did it lol!!!

Most shoemakers will dye shoes to match any color swatch you give them.

I had my shoes made by Ellie Wren on Etsy. They were died plum to match my wedding colors. They have some shoes you can choose from and they also make custom shoes. You should definitely check her out. My shoes came out perfect.

ABaddaBling on Etsy did a custom dye job for me. My fiance has a cerulean blue jacket that I wanted to match, but couldn't find anywhere. I sent her the bowtie to match, and it looks wonderful.

I would recommend nude or silver. Personally not a fan of dyeable shoes/colored bridal party shoes. I've purchased both silver and nude at DSW.com. Maybe check there!

When I use to work at Payless Shoesource a million years ago they dyed shoes. Probably still do.
