Driving Distance from Wisconsin?

Any great honeymoon places you know of that are within driving distance from Wisconsin? (8 hours max drive). We are open to flying, but thinking we can save money driving. If we fly, we are open to any destination in the US. We aren’t looking for “touristy” things to do necessarily, but want a nice, quiet, relaxing honeymoon. Open to all ideas! We are trying to keep the honeymoon as inexpensive as possible.

    Depending on where you live in Wisconsin, you could go to Branson, Missouri!

    Hi Cassandra! I think Laura brings up a good point. Where in Wisconsin are you? Upper, lower, east, west? I think Chicago could be a fun place to have a nice little weekend honeymoon. Catch a show, go to a baseball game, visit Navy Pier.

    The Wisconsin Dells I've heard are very nice, and maybe fit more of your honeymoon vision. Somewhere in South Dakota, Sioux Falls or Rapid City.

    Definitely not Wisconsin Dells. We live about 30-40 minutes from there and it’s over run with children and tourists. Chicago is an option, but we are kind of wanting somewhere that isn’t a huge “tourist” spot. Where we can go do something if we really want to, but also spend most of the time relaxing.

    You could try Door County. I’ve never been there myself but I’ve had friends go there and they absolutely love it. They’re always raving about it.
