Drink Tickets

Has anyone ever experienced drunk tickets at a wedding. Our venue offers open bar or drink tickets... I really wouldn’t mind having an open bar but they charge $40 per adult and I know for a fact out of my 60 person wedding, 25 don’t drink. That’s like wasting $1,000. Not something I want to throw...

Not something I want to throw away. I’m not sure if drink tickets are tacky or not? Opinions please

    I don't think drink tickets are tacky as long as it's like 2-3? But if you're worried about it, Is there an option to just do an open bar during cocktail hour and then cash bar the rest of the time? That's what i am doing.
