Hi! Looks like we’re date twins! I purchased my gown in March and they said it will take about 6-8 months to come in and then plan for about 6 weeks for alterations. I would suggest looking soon!

I would suggest starting your search soon too! Especially if you’re not buying off the rack, they can take a little while to get in after they’re ordered and you want to have plenty of time for alterations. Bridesmaids dresses usually say they take around 4 months to come in

I purchased my dress for my March 2020 wedding in April 2019.
I also picked out my bridesmaid dresses. I'm meeting with my girls this week to discuss them with them.

My dress will be in in September.
I'm planning on asking my girls to go in July to get measured and order.

Okay, thanks. I just recently got engaged and was wondering how soon should we get started especially with the date being the end of April. I would hate to wait too late and have to order one if I didn’t find “the one” in a store and it not be back in time

We went shopping the weekend after Christmas (so 11 months early) just because all of my girls with the exception of MOH are out of state and I knew they would all be in the area for Christmas. I also don't care for the miss match look (although I totally get why people do it) so I wanted everyone to be able to try on everything and find something that worked for all of them. We just ordered 2 weeks ago, so 6 months out. We got it from the same boutique I got my dress and had to have their dresses ordered before May 9th to avoid a "rush fee". If you are ordering online though you have a little extra wiggle room since orders typically ship pretty quick.

I bought my dress a year out. It was one of the first off the line for the new Spring collection so I got it in March but won't start alterations until August.

I began looking for my dress at 15 months out! I'm glad I did because it took 10 months for my dress to come in! As for my bridesmaids, they began looking at 9 months out and purchased at 8 months out. I recommend Azazie for bridesmaids dresses if you're still looking!

Hi! I purchased my gown in March (April 2020 wedding). It will take at least eight months to come in so I think a year out is a great time to begin shopping so it can allow time for alterations as well. I recently went shopping with my bridesmaids and I’m pretty sure we have the dresses for them done too, though I ran into some snags with their personalities. Some people told me it’s too early to shop for bridesmaid dresses, but I like things to be done as soon as possible so I don’t have to stress over it. Hope this helps !

They say minimum of 8 months out from your wedding is when you should find your dress. My bridesmaids dresses took 3 weeks.
