When is the best time to start wedding dress shopping. If anyone started a “diet”, when and what was your diet?! I would like to lose 10-15 pounds prior to date and tone up a bit. ❤️❤️Dresses!!! 1

I love that dress! You look gorgeous!

I’m currently just working out 3-4 times a week with 10-15 cardio in the beginning and lifting weights for the rest. Eating veggies and fruits with a source of protein (no meat for me)
Our wedding is in September 2020 and I’m starting now just in case lol. I know there’ll be a week or two where I skip the gym completely! However I am going dress shopping Thursday with my family and then probably again in February with my FMIL

So I started a low carb no soda diet to help with my diabetes, and the pounds have melted off. My first dress I bought way too early - if you are deciding to lose weight, it's easier to to take a dress in than it is to take it out. David's bridal allowed me to exchange my dress after I lost 20 pounds, and I just paid the difference.

Keto! I lost 15 (all I needed to lose).

You can start shopping 18 months before but you may want to wait closer to 12 months to order (dresses typically take 6-8 months and you’ll want 2 months for alterations).

It depends on how much time you have and what dress you're going to want. Some take a lot longer to come in than others. I would try to lose before shopping if you have the time.

I got engaged in July and our wedding is February..so we started out with seven months to plan. I went dress shopping six months before our wedding date and my dress choices were limited due to the time constraint. I managed to lose ten pounds the month before shopping (keto and exercise..i like piyo). After my dress was ordered I didn't want to lose too much. The bodice is very beaded..so I didn't want a bunch of alterations to be done. I've been maintaining the ten pounds I lost. I'm not happy with the weight/size I am right now (I would like to be anywhere between 140-160..im 5'2" and currently 189)..but i have already had an alterations appointment and would like my dress to fit properly. Aside from the straps needing to be taken up for my short torso and the length needing altered..the dress fit perfectly when it arrived.

You look great! I love your pics!! I am 5 9 and weigh 164. I range from 160-170.. but for the wedding I would like to be closer to 150 pounds. Everyone carries their weight differently. I will start doing more cardio. My dog can keep me pretty busy. ❤️

Definitely get on it. I heard David’s Bridals dresses come in a lot faster but most boutique bridal shops the designer gowns take longer.

I’m sure there are lots of keto sites. Mostly, I cut out carbs & sugar. I also did a few two-week sprints of NO sugar (no fruit, alcohol, coffee creamer, pasta, bread, rice, or even beans or starchy veggies like carrots or corn).
