Dresses with slits - yea or nay?

What do you think of bridal dresses that feature a slit? This is becoming a popular feature in many bridesmaid dresses and wedding gowns, but will the style last? Will anyone be showing off their shoes (and a bit of leg!) in a slit gown on your wedding day? Do you love slits in wedding day looks?...

Do you love slits in wedding day looks? Yea or nay?

Yup! Some of the bridesmaids chose a gown with a slit on the side - nothing too high. Looks nice and flowy.

I was little hesitant to cosign the split at first. Some of the dresses that my bridesmaid tried on were beautiful but the split put a little too much attention on her legs. I think it's all about the cut of the dress. If the dress is the right cut and the BMs put a little attention on sizing and alterations, the split makes the look super classy and sexy. I think my BMs got excited when we discussed dresses with splits. LOLOL. Love my girls!

I love slits, all my BM dresses have them and my reception dress does too. It's such a sexy addition to an elegant gown

I am a fan of slits on the bridesmaids as long as it doesn't go too high

I like it - especially on an otherwise simple dress like these. Think it adds a pretty touch.

No, not for a wedding. For any other occasion, yes.

    Hi!
I am getting married soon, and shared this dress with my mom (they can make it in white), and she thinks that slits are "Vegasy" and not wedding appropriate. These slits aren't that high, so I'm on the fence. OH, and also, I would definitely place some fabric in the cleavage area as to make it less plungey, so please don't factor that into your decision!!
Imagine this in white, with less cleavage, and tell me what you think about the slits, please. Thank you!!
