Dress Update! (long post)

Love the petticoat! It really makes the dress pop! As far as the veil, I won’t give my opinion because I’m not a huge fan of them personally. I can’t decide if I even want one or not lol I think you’re dress is beautiful and it looks great on you!

Thank you so much! I was also kinda torn on wanting to wear a veil or not, I knew for sure if I did that I wouldn't want it over my face. I have heard that some brides end up regretting not wearing one and I LOVE veils in photos so that pretty much sold me on it lol

The petticoat does wonders for the dress! I would think a chapel length dress would look beautiful with the dress. Can you find one with lace to match your dress?

Since there is a small amount of beautiful beading in the dress I might personally lean toward a beaded edge. It would certainly be easier to match.

Love the dress! The petticoat makes a big difference. Will you wear a belt too? I'm getting a waltz length veil, for some reason I think the fingertip veils hit at a weird length, like right at the bum. I think waltz, chapel or even cathedral length would be perfect for you!

I think the petticoat under the dress is beautiful. No advice on the veil. I want to wear one too. I ordered one online now I am second guessing myself. Went into the shop I ordered my dress from and they suggested a chapel length one for me, but I'm also thinking to myself I'm not sure I want something so dramatic or long. The one I ordered off Amazon was fingertip. I have time to figure this out too. But it's driving me nuts.

I considered wearing a belt, but after trying a few on I felt like it made the bodice look awkward by cutting the detailing in half. I hadn't considered a waltz length veil, but I'll have to look into that. Thanks for your help!

Thank you! I hope you figure out your veil dilemma, I feel like I'm ALWAYS second guessing myself on wedding purchases. I always thought I'd have fingertip length, but it just doesn't look right with my dress to me. I feel like cathedral length might be a little too much for me, so I'm hoping to find a happy medium with chapel length to hopefully come right to or just past the end of my train

Same here. I was a little annoyed to with the shop so that didn't help. They suggested the chapel length but then all they had were cathedral and I didn't care for those. They had no chapel length ones for me to try, so it didn't help me see the vision I guess you could say lol. So now I prowl through Etsy and Amazon every night and drive my FH nuts by asking which veils he likes. I'm in the same boat I also thought I would go with fingertip but where it hits my dress I'm not sure if I like it. My dress has a lot of lace and detailing so I am just going to go for a veil that is rather plain and sheer; that much I know lol.

It looks great!!! I wouldn’t go with that veil though, if you did use a veil I think cathedral length would work better for your dress

I think it's a beautiful dress!! I definitely like it better with the petticoat underneath!! And I agree with you about the veil. I think the one you have looks great but I do agree that a cathedral length will probably look better!! No matter what you choose you're still going to look gorgeous in your special day!!
