Dress too plain/revealing?

Hi all-

This is a semi repost of another discussion what was deleted. I've come to love this general style of dress as it is suitable for my body type, but am worried that it is too plain and too closely resembles a prom dress. As I already am mistaken for a high schooler, I don't want to look like one on my way to prom. The pictured dress is not the one I currently have in mind, but closely resembles it.

I think it's gorgeous and definitely looks bridal as is. Not to mention a veil if you're wearing one will add to the look. If you're still worried, you could amp it up with some jewlery and/or a belt, even a little clutch purse. A bridal look doesn't need to be super extravagent and complex. A classic look goes a long way

The styles have gone toward simplicity. It may help to make sure the material is not too light.
It seems that a long veil could add to the look -- or a short finger-length veil with maybe gold ornaments. Some have mentioned about a cape. Any of those, especially the veils, would give emphasis toward looking more bridal and maybe take away some of the sense of looking too young. I can understand that inclination not to look overly young.
Anyhow, you have at least six to eight months to gather additional ideas.

I think this is a classy and elegant bridal look! Choose a dress you love. A veil will definitely say “bride.”

For any bride, I think overdoing jewelry can make it look too prom-ish (earrings, necklace, head/hairpiece). That’s just my opinion though.

Here’s an example. Veil + earrings. Stunning. With such a simple dress a veil with pearls or sparkles would look beautiful.

After my wedding I worked in a bridal shop. Two brides chose very sleek yet simple dresses (similar to your photo but strapless, no slit). One chose a pearl veil. One chose a veil with lace trim. Both were amazingly-stunning looks. Very classic & timeless. 🥰

I bought my veil in 2017 from Bridals by Teri. Brides here said great things about Blanca Veils. A fraction of the cost from bridal shops. If you want to check those out.

The dress is beautiful and isn’t revealing at all because you are not showing off private areas. It doesn’t look like a prom dress at all either. As long as you feel beautiful and comfortable in it, other people’s opinions don’t matter.
