Dress Too Long, possibly too late for alterations

Michelle, on September 14, 2018 at 6:23 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
When I bought my dress off the rack at David's Bridal back in May it fit perfectly except it was a little too long (I am only 5'2, its a common problem). My wedding is October 10 and I still have not gotten it hemmed. I am scared to have someone touch my beloved dress but I am worried about tripping and I hears that David's Bridal alterations are overpriced. I just bought heels so I don't know how long it will be with the shoes on. Anyone have suggestions? Maybe simple at home remedies. I just need to get down the aisle without tripping. The rest of the night I can hold it up if needed (we are only doing pictures and dinner, no dancing).

I included a picture of the dress (I am not wearing my shapewear in the picture so it doesn't look as good as in store).

It is 1000% not to late to get t hemmed and I 100”% recommend it. Tripping is BAD and hems are easy. Any seamstress/tailor can do it.

Any seamstress can fix it. I got my dress from DB but refused to let them do the alterations.

I think DB charge $120 to hemmed the dress.

Hemming that dress would be a quick and easy task for a seamstress. Definitely hem it so you get the benefit of how the dress is supposed to look.
