Dress Straps

Amanda, on February 2, 2018 at 11:03 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
When I first tried on my dress at a designer show I loved the way the straps felt on my skin (I have very sensitive skin and don’t like anything itchy). The straps had a rubber backing on them so it didn’t scratch and stayed in place but when my dress came in and I tried it on there was no adhesive backing and the straps are itchy.
Does anyone know of anything that I can buy online to stick to my straps to help them not be as itchy?
I don’t want to do roll on tape or double stick tape and the bridal store doesn’t know what I’m talking about.
I attached a picture of the straps from the back

We haven't tried it yet, but bridal consultant told us the alterations person would use bees wax underneath her straps to keep them from rubbing/irritating. I don't know if that would work with your straps, but it might.

Hot glue is a good idea. If you don't want to sh that try calling seamstresses for ideas

You could maybe use glue or even a few layers of clear nail polish to help coat any edges that could feel itchy on your skin.

Can you or have someone glue ribbon to the back of them? They are itchy because they are sewn with plastic thread.

Using rubber cement could work. It's stretchy too. (that's what banks use to attach cards to the page for mailing)
