Dress still fit for postponed wedding

Chasity, on April 7, 2020 at 6:31 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
Any other brides concerned about their dress fitting if you had to postpone your wedding? We had to postpone our May wedding to August and with the few extra months I think i can lose a few more pounds but then I'm worried about the dress not fitting. My alterations were $500 so I’d like to not have to pay that again. Not looking for advice i suppose ... just wonder If anyone else is concerned about that.

We are going to have to push back the reception. Our venue said they would accommodate our needs but the county shut down until April 30th before the president came with his stay at home order. So my dress is still
Under construction in the alterations department. None of our family cancelled only some co-workers and a few friends. So we were just going to wing it and keep it moving but I have no dress. 😫 I have 2 contingency dates with the venue in October and November. But I’m looking at September now. So we’ll see... this has been a roller coaster girl!

Me!!! I had my dress taken in....TWICE! No way they’ll be any material left to allow for a let out. I was on a very strict diet leading up to my wedding and now I have to go another 4 months.

I did the keto diet. Went from 152lbs to 127 lbs. now, of course, I’ve gotta keep doing it another 4 months 😩

I’ve lost about 50 pounds and my dress was too small. I went to one fitting and the next one was cancelled. Now that the date looks to be September and I feel like I’m eating my way through isolation and scared to death that I’ll gain way too much and then I’m without the dress I love. I’m trying to focus and limit eating, exercise, and keep my routine hang in there!
