Dress sizing!

So today, I picked up my wedding dress. (After ordering, haven’t had it altered yet) As I expected, it fits almost perfect.. except for my hips.. it’s a bit tight on my hips and is a little too big on my waist and shoulders.... has anyone else had to have their dress let out a bit?? There’s like 3” of fabric on the seams for them to work with and I even had someone from their alterations department look at it and said she’d only have to let it out about an inch on my hips and that it would be no problem at all, I don’t know why but the thought of having to let the dress out gives me so much anxiety... even though they told me if I size up it’s going to be way more work because then they have to alter the entire dress.... ahhhhhh
