Dress shopping!

I got my dress as soon as I got engaged, at 19 months. No regrets. I picked out bm dresses online a year ago but they just ordered them yesterday, which is still enough time for Azazie.

I got mine 11 months before... bridesmaids was 13 months. I know it’s odd that we picked theirs first BUT it was a happy accident! Lol

I went like the weekend after I got engaged. I waited probably 1 month to order it after that, just wanted to sleep on it and make sure it was the one before forking over a few grand. It took about 6 months to get it in and I stored it at my parent's house for 2 months before taking it in for alterations.

I went shopping between 9 and 10 months in advance. If I were you, I'd consider checking if boutiques near you have black Friday or holiday sales - I know the shop where I got my dress from has a White Friday sale where you can get some seriously deep discounts.

I got my dress back in November. My bridesmaids got there's in January. I am getting married this month.

My engagement is one year.

Currently 19 months out, started shopping right after I got engaged. Absolutely no regrets, mine comes in November and I can’t wait! I’ll start shopping with my bridesmaids in November to get a feel for what we all like.

Got engaged in Feb., paid slightly more attention to dresses in ads that same month, didn’t start actually looking seriously til April, found the dress and purchased all by June. (Alterations didn’t begin though til late August)

For my bridesmaid it was up in the air as to if she would even be able to attend the ceremony because of family logistics but after her promising to get that sorted last month, I sent her some links to dresses I liked and we agreed on one about a week ago that she’s gunna order from Azazie.

I must have gotten mines month or so after I got engaged and my wedding was about a year from my engagement

I went to two salons 13 months out, and one salon 10 months out. I picked my dress at the last salon. I'm not a quick decision maker so I knew I wouldn't buy a dress at the first or probably second salon. I picked my bridesmaids dress 14 months out so they would have time to pick & save. I gave them a color, fabric and length from Azazie and they picked their own dress.

We're getting married next year August. I'm getting my dress custom made and I didn't want to wait too long to get it because I know I would need alterations as well. Everyone is different though. I would say usually maybe anywhere between 6 months to a year out.
