I think that should be ok for you to get alterations still! as long as you can get it in July, it should ideally be ok.

Do you know what needs to be altered? You can contact your tailor from now on, and send her a picture of the dress, so she/he would be familiar with you and the dress before your appointment. Does your dress have a tracking number?

Mine came surprisingly a week or two earlier than what they estimated, and even with a lot of things to be done at the alteration, it will be done in 2 months.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I ordered a Casablanca gown in January. It was supposed to be delivered in March. We are now into June and still no word. We have since postponed our wedding to next year so the timeline isn’t pressing anymore. I know that’s not the best information to hear. However, if I were in your situation, I’d continue to call and request updates. I would also be in contact with the person doing your alterations to see what their advice would be in terms of what they think they can achieve if it were continued to be delayed. Crossing my fingers for you!

I would call ahead to your seamstress and tell them about the delays and that you'll need rush alterations. Then they can tell you in advance of any rush charges and they can try to plan ahead for the time they'll need for your dress. Good luck!

Our original date was September 6th. With how big our guest list was and how many compromised guests we have, we just couldn’t risk it. I hope they’re able to get your gown to you in time. The last I heard about my gown was on May 6th and they said they didn’t have any updates on when it would arrive. When did you order yours?

I ordered mine in feb. I called the shop and begged if it didnt come in by the end of this month if I can purchase a different gown they had in store that i liked also. It fit for the most part just need to be taken up and in at waist. Of course its more expensive but im willing to pay the extra 600.

Update: 2 weeks later still not on boat, so i freaked out, shop said 2 to 3 more weeks.. Im sorry but i cant hear that anymore! So i went in person to plead to let me get a different dress in store and they did yay! It's still a casablanca cost 600 more but hey i dont have to wait for shipping. My first fitting will be tomorrow am. Im soo relieved, we might have to move wedding up if our venue cancels on us.. Which ill find out in 2 weeks. This has been a total nightmare and extra stress

I’m so sorry this has been so stressful for you, but I’m glad you were able to get a dress in store and get alterations started already.
