Dress remorse

I think I might have bought the wrong dress.
I am about 7 months from my wedding right now and I have already received my dress. I like it a lot. There’s some things I want to change But I am worried that it’s on the one.

You should be certain and sure right? I liked it so much in the store and it checked my boxes but I was eyeballing this specific dress and the woman told me it wasn’t a real dress. Now 2 months later it turns out that it’s just a new release at David’s bridal.
The company now takes returns so I am tempted to go back to the store by myself and try on the dress that is specifically giving me second thought. Any advice? First pic is the dress giving me envy and second is the dress I gave and am unsure of. I hate the back and am hoping a seamstress can change it to a low back. Dress remorse 1

    You don't want to have regrets so if it's a possibility to return your original dress I would go try on the other one. They are both beautiful dresses!!

    If you can return/exchange I would say go for it. Go try on the dress you are eye-ing more. The worst that could happen is that you fall in love with the new dress or your own dress - which is a win win for you!

    I would try on and make the decision now. Since it is a new dress it could take time for it to be shipped and if needed alterations. You have two separate styles so be sure. Smiley smile

    If you are really having regrets see if you can return the other one. Personally I like the second one better.

    I feel the same way. I felt like my dress could be better. But I think once I make my changes I’ll love it so much.

    Wow yours is gorgeous! I only bought the mermaid style one. I guess I liked it because it’s felt “bridal” but I think I’m leaning towards the more simple style. I have an appointment we’ll see if I keep it.

    Wow. I can see why you like that new dress more. It is SO classic and beautiful! I would try to go ahead and sell the one you already bought, and go after the new one. As long as you try it on first, and love it as much as you thought you would - then go for it! It's your big day. You only get the do this once, so do it the way you dream of. Smiley heart

    Thank you! Mermaid is what I went in for and i fell in love with this oneafter many beautiful mermaids. I say try it on and see how you feel

    Since they are fine with returns then I would totally go try on the one you've been eyeing. Maybe you will hate it anyways!

    I would say if you can return the other then at least try the one you've been looking at. I had something similar where I loved the dress that I picked out but I kept seeing another in the store. Last minute I asked the girl to grab it, turns out I really only liked it on the rack. It made me love the dress that I picked even more.

    The one you’re eyeing is also beautiful. But I’ll tell you...it’s so normal to have second thoughts about a dress. I still see dresses online and wonder if that would have been a better gown for me. But ultimately I felt beautiful in the dress. And that’s what matters. Try on the other dress. See which one is better for you.

    I think you should go try on the one you're wondering about. If you could return it or exchange it, I'd say go for it. Though the one you have is lovely too

    I would definitely go try on the dress! I have the same dress as you (the second one) and I am also thinking about changing it! I'm more worried about them adding cup for me and it not working at really hold me up lol (I'm small but busty) and also I'm not sure if the fit mermaid/trumpet style is me anymore. I am happy that DB now allow you to return.

    Hey, I have the same dress lol. From your profile pic it looks like you added some lace to the front of yours? Do you have a close up pic of that part of your dress? Also, did you get your alterations done at DB?

    Hey, yeah it seems to be a very popular dress! I did have an extra modesty piece sewn in. I felt like I was showing too much boob. And I got it done at David’s. Here’s a better picture:Dress remorse 5
