Dress Regrets (i Found My Dream Dress)

Hi ladies! Has anyone had dress regrets? I sure did & 3 months before my wedding.


I knew what style of dress I wanted before I went dress shopping, a strapless with an A-line silhouette, or at least that's what I thought. I did try on a-line dresses & i liked them but at that time i felt like it needed more. I ended up with something totally different. I ended up getting a trumpet style with a plunging neckline & spaghetti straps.
Well 3 months out, I'm regretting it. I finally broke down, got a hold my seamstress (thank god she didn't touch the dress) & the bridal shop. I ended up talking to the shop owner & was able to exchange my dress for one of the dress that I had tried on previously.
I'm so relieved. I'm so thankful that the shop owner was willing to help me out & that I've found my actual dream dress, I can't stop looking at the pictures!

    Beautiful!

    I had dress regrets as well. I wanted more aline and flowy with sparkle. I (thought) i fell in love with a mermaid lace gown until I tried it on a few months later and it was just so not what i imagined. I had a meltdown, my MOH calmed me down, and we went back two days later. I found EXACTLY what I was looking for and it was brand new release that they got in two days prior. I would have never found it the first time. Everything happens for a reason! Smiley heart

    Wow, you got so lucky - I don’t think most bridal shop owners would have allowed you to exchange the dress! It was obviously meant to be! The new dress looks beautiful on you Smiley smile

    Congrats! I'm happy it worked out for you. I had dress regret too! I had bought the dress on the left right before covid and after a week, I couldn't stop thinking about how I think I made a mistake. It was pretty (in person) but I just felt so wrong afterward.


    Due to covid, they gave me the option to cancel my order since I had lost my job and wasn't sure if or when I'd be able to make anymore payments. I ended up buying the dress on the right a few months ago and I'm head over heels for it. Dress Regrets (i Found My Dream Dress) 4

    I was lucky enough that the shop had my dress! I sent the shop owner pictures of the ones that I liked, that I've tried on, & my dress was the only one that was in stock!
    Its such a huge releif. I'm glad that you found your dream dress!

    That's awesome they were able to help you! The stress/panic of not loving your dress anymore was the worst. Huge weight off your shoulders!

    Thank you! It was one of the worst feelings I've ever experienced, I would never wish it upon any bride. Same! It was pretty in person but didn't feel right the second time I saw & put it on. Especially when I went to my seamstress, she had it so tight on me that I couldn't move. How was I going to dance?

    Yea idk why rhey hold ridiculously tight like you do know I still have to breathe right?? Lol. But thanks so much. I'm absolutely in love and currently on a weight loss journey (that already started off pretty rocky cause I love to eat lol). I can't wait to get it fit right though. I hope I still love it after alterations.
