Dress regrets because of weather?!

I ordered my dress about a week ago and it arrived yesterday. When I tried it on at home, I noticed how hot it was. I had to turn on a fan and lift it up to let a breeze in! We’re getting married outdoor, in October, in California! “Fall” doesn’t start in California until like December! Lol. Usually October is that awkward time where it’s warm in the day, and pretty cold at night. I love this dress, but I don’t want to be feeling uncomfortable and hot. This is the dress:

I considered this dress as well. If it were to get too cold at night, I could always wear a faux fur shawl or something of the like:

Would Considering A 2nd Dress Be An Option? Maybe Wear The One You Already Have For Your Ceremony And Change For Your Reception?

Maybe you can also change the sleeves in alterations? That's probably the heaviest part tbh. It might even help to trim the sleeves to 2/3 length? Or like the pp said, wear this for the ceremony and get s different dress for the reception.

I would take into consideration if being uncomfortable is going to affect your mood. I get so cranky when I'm hot! Also pay extra attention to where you sweat when you get warm so you can tell your make up artist.

Sure a 2nd dress, Or you can have your alterations person fix the sleeves make them shorter? It will change the dress, but maybe make you more comfortable
