Dress Regret?

Dress Regret? 1
Dress Regret? 2

Hello!! I am having major second thoughts on my dress that I bought. Although I did feel beautiful in the dress, I felt slightly pressured into deciding on this specific one. I LOVE the train/lace and the overall fit of it. I just absolutely hate the front. Would removing the crinoline in the front make it have a more natural/less poofy appearance? Please give me your honest opinions!

I think it's beautiful, and I actually like the shape at the bottom - I think it emphasizes your gorgeous hourglass figure.

But honestly it doesn't matter what we think, you're the one that needs to be happy with it. If you prefer it without the crinoline then that's the way you should wear it!

I was just going to say the same. I think the poof at the bottom helps emphasize your figure and balance out the dress.

I think it's beautiful and looks great on you!! But if you want to change the front, the person doing your alterations should be able to help you get the look you're going for. And taking out crinoline should be pretty simple!

I would say trust your seamstress. They can literally do magic! If you want it to be straight or mermaid or poofy, they can do it!

My dress was made as a trumpet fit, but I wanted sheath so she totally changed it!

The front pictures are bit blurry and please take my opinion with a grain of salt, but you asked for honesty and opnions. I think this is the right dress for you, but maybe some tweaking will help you love it more. The back looks great on you! The top front (above your hips) looks great and very flattering, but I think I would agree with you that bottom doesn't seem to match quite right with the top and back. I almost think the flare is starting to high up. I would see if you seamstress could help you out and show you some options.

Just my thoughts and I have a feeling I understand what you are saying.

Hi! The dress looks good on you, but I totally relate to you on the dress regret thing. I’m in the same boat, as I too, think my dress is too poofy at the bottom. I haven’t been to a seamstress yet, but I’ve been told they can alter the shape. Especially if you just want to take some layers out of the bottom. I’m told it’s not hard and I plan to do the same to my dress

I agree! Having a natural flow at the bottom and less poof would be my preference for your dress as well.

Honestly, it would distort the shape of the dress and I don't think you'd like it. If you don't like the mermaid style try on some other dresses and see if you still feel off about it.

I agree with Kate! The back looks great and the top front looks flattering, but the bottom might need some adjustments. I'm sure your seamstress can make it perfect so that you can LOVE it!
