dress regret

Nichole, on April 17, 2019 at 1:03 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 49
I am having such bad dress regret. There is nothing I can do so There is no real point in complaining. But still don’t know how to shake this feeling. It is already being made so i can’t change it.

I was like this about 6 months before my wedding which is next month. I kept doubting whether I was in love with it. I had my last dress fitting 2 days ago and I’m back in love with my dress. Give it time it will get better.

I've experienced dress regret many times. I rushed and bought a dress back in December when we were planning on having a March wedding. I couldn't return it or exchange it and I didn't want to spend more on a new dress so I just stuck with it for our new date. Sometimes I put it on and I fall in love with it again. Other days I regret it. It is comfortable though so I feel like I really won't care on my wedding day.

Following! Im in the same boat- found a dress that I thought was perfect, but was discontinued and the same was in my size so it was a time sensitive issue. I went ahead and bought it and was sooooo happy. Went to my second appointment (another store) still at the plea of a friend, and Im soooo much more in love with the dress there. Dress #1 (off-the-shoulder). Dress #2 was a sparkling stunner with a low-cut back. Im still conflicted. I don't know what to do. Dress regret is real. Even everyone who told me that the 1st dress was the perfect choice and that they didn't like the 2nd dress online- every, single one is telling me to sell my dress because I have to be in the second dress.
I think it's down to one of two things- either be thankful that I have a dress and let the idea of another dress go, or I workntwice as hard to make happen. Its hard- especially if family bought or helped buy your dress. But when my mom saw that dress- she was the once that said I had to get it somehow.

Idk I really like the simplicity of the first dress. The belt is beautiful as well. That’s my favorite

Think about why you fell in love with the first. Don't try on others. Don't look at others. Don't compare your dress to others. I had a little regret, but after trying mine back on with alterations, I'm feeling much better about my decision.

I had dress regret a little bit because the dress I chose is not what I expected. I look back on all of my inspiration dresses and it doesn't really look like any of them. I wasnt sure if I should have tried on more or if I was influenced by everyone's reaction. I did love it when I first tried it on and I loved it again when it came in and I tried it ok again. So I stopped looking at dresses and comparing them because I know I really am happy with my choice.

Why do you regret buying your dress? is it that you dont have it right now? do you have any pictures of the dress? is it the color?style?length?that you wanted intially, is there anything about the dress that you would want to change?can you make any changes to it now?

Both are gorgeous. My personal favorite is the second. Can't go wrong either way.

I try to not watch say yes to the dress bc it’s so easy these days to change your mind or second guess yourself with so many options.

I so feel your pain. I loved my dress UNTIL alterations. Now even though it fits me "perfectly", the waist doesn't fall at the same place and I don't feel like it's as flattering. Literally nothing I can do about it. I get married in 3 weeks and the dress was over budget as it is. I just remind myself I'll feel beautiful on my wedding day even in a garbage bag. I don't think I'll have regrets once it's time to really put it on. And I certainly won't have time to analyze the way it fits. You'll be gorgeous!

Oh no, I am so sorry Smiley sad I have been this way but only between two dresses. They day I got mine I was stuck between two that were so different from one another. I ended up picking the more simple one and second guessed it all way until it was delivered. When it was delivered they had me come back and put it on which was when I added the veil and the jewelry and then fell in love

I think people get too caught up in finding the “perfect dress”. My guess is that you won’t be any happier if you buy a new dress unless this dress is truly terrible but I don’t imagine that it is if you liked it enough to spend the money on it. I feel like I see so many girls buy a dress and then have the “but what if there was something better” thought. If you’re always wondering if there’s something better you’ll never be happy! If you like the dress and are comfortable in it that’s all that matters. And don’t forget that it’s going into a box and forgotten about after the wedding day and in a few years you’ll probably be glad you have the money instead of a second wedding dress

If you kept comparing them to the dress you eventually bought then thats your dress! We all have times of doubt during the planning process because its a lot of pressure. Just breathe. You will look beautiful

Oh God, Nichole, I soooooo feel for you. When I got engaged in October, I ordered a dress online right away, on the cheap. 5 months and 22lbs later I had 100% dress regret. I ended up at the store with my mom and stepmom and ordered a sassy new gown that hugs my new body perfectly. However, it was much more expensive than the first. If I only would've waited. You live and you learn. Sending you virtual hugs. I think this is something all brides go through.

My mom was kind enough and purchased my dress. I am not getting a different one. But yes I do keep thinking..... But what if i has gone to _______ store what if there was a better one. I stress out over tiny things a snow I know i shouldnt because it isn’t going to change anything or make it better.

I also am wondering how it will fit on me. I am trying to get in the best shape I can for the wedding (day after the wedding I’m getting donuts everyday for a month lol) the dress was ordered a little small. So the pressure is on lol
