Dress regret :(

Typical... I know. My fiancée and I are on a tight budget, and my mom promised to buy my wedding dress for me, but it fell through. So, I picked the BHLDN Belize dress as it had the boho vibes that I love and it’s only $275. However, as the wedding gets closer I’m getting worried that it’s not ~bridal~ enough and maybe too... casual? The more I see it, the more it reads “elopement” to me and we’re having a small wedding at a museum with 3 bridesmaids and 3 groomsmen. I DEFINITELY don’t have enough in the budget to go buy a new one, so does anybody have any suggestions as to how I can dress it up a little more? My seamstress altered it so that there’s a small train on the back and I bought a pretty fingertip-length drape veil. Any other ideas? Please help!

I think that dress is very boho and with your additional train and veil, it'll be very bridal.

Did you post a picture? If so, it didn't load correctly. Without seeing a picture, I can say that you loved it enough to buy it, so I'm sure it's bridal. Every woman is different, every wedding is different. So, embrace your choice!!

That dress is gorgeous on you! I think it looks bridal as is and adding the veil etc should bring it all together.

I love your dress! My dress is simple from BHLDN as well but the veil and a bridal belt shoes and jewlery really pulled together the whole look for me and made me feel like a bride. So maybe experiment with accessories. Amazon has some great affordable choices!

Oh, Lauren, that's a beautiful dress!! You said you were looking for a BOHO vibe, and this dress certainly has that! It's really lovely, and very bridal, in my opinion. It's not your typical wedding dress, so maybe that's why you're worried it isn't bridal enough. But I think that it's so unique, and that makes it even more special. Don't worry! I can also envision it with a veil and train, which will only add to the beauty of it!

It’s beautiful on you and fits the look you were going for. I agree that you could definitely add a belt if you wanted and could find one in budget. But even if you don’t do that once the train and jewelry is on it will all come together, you should feel like a bride because you 100% look like one
