Dress question.

Emily, on August 9, 2019 at 2:27 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15
I went to alterations and asked to take my boobs out to get ride of the overhang. She told me that this boob fat was normal. And if I took it out it was fall down. I really didn't think it would. I felt really diahearted cause I thought I could get it to go away. It's been a week and I am still thinking about. And everone posting their dresses and I don't see any boob fat.... Am I being overly sensitive? Should she have done it anyways since I asked about it?

I've seen it on every bride that's plus size or well endowed. I think without sleeves we notice every little thing more about ourselves. I think if you wanted the cups out they should have obliged.
That being said I think you look really pretty, a simple necklace will draw the line of the silloette of the dress up to your face and nobody will think twice about the boobs. Except your spouse 😉

Maybe she could bring the dress up a smidge to help cover. I don’t think letting out the dress would look better, because then it would be too loose across the top. I think you’re beautiful in it as is, but if you’re going to be uncomfortable then you should definitely talk to your seamstress again.

What a beautiful gown!!! You look amazing!! I wasn’t a fan of the strapless look of mine either.. i added straps with bling and cool designs that matched my dress. Nobody will have my gown ever! You could add some of those sexy “cold shoulder” straps to compliment your dress.. there are so many to choose from... ask your seamstress... you can overcome your concern that way! I did 😁

I think you look beautiful and the dress is gorgeous; I think the shape would maybe be strange without the cups also.

If you hadn't pointed it out, I would not have thought anything of it. For some reason, I have a big crease between my breasts and my armpits and it becomes very exaggerated in certain clothing. It almost makes it look like I have four breasts. I ended up going with a strapless dress, but I am inserting removable tulle short sleeves at least for the ceremony to make me feel more comfortable.

You look pretty! Don’t worry about it, that’s just what boobs do. If you squeeze them in fabric they’ve gotta go somewhere right? It doesn’t look bad at all!

First of all, your dress is gorgeous.

Second, "boob fat" is just a thing that happens when you wear some clothing. With a dress like that, it's gonna be pretty tight up top to help it stay up and secure. I'm a size 2 and even I have some "boob fat" when my dress is held where it should be xD. It's nothing to be ashamed of, it's just what boobs do. You're beautiful and the dress really helps to showcase that, no one will think twice about what's going on around your boobs.

If it really bothers you, maybe try some boob tape pulling down in the corners. Might work! Congratulations, you look beautiful!

Your dress is absolutely gorgeous on you!! I would trust the seamstress and not let out the top. It will be worth feeling totally secure up top vs feeling like your dress might fall down when you're rocking it on the dance floor!

Your FH and loved ones won't see 'boob fat', they'll see a stunning, positively glowing bride in a fabulous dress. Smiley love

I wonder if they could open the cups up a size? I honestly didn’t notice at first glance, but understand the concern! I haven’t shopped for my dress yet but this is something I am worried about as well. If it really bothers you, I would ask them what suggestions they have to help you feel more comfortable. It’s what you’re paying them for! You look gorgeous, so don’t stress too much!
