Dress Padding

CourtneyBrittain, on May 29, 2019 at 12:07 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
Okay so I have my dress and I LOVE it. My only minor issue is that I have tiny boobs and unless I stand with amazing posture all night there’s an odd crease in the front of the dress because it’s not filled out entirely. Any suggestions, apart from sewing in cups (too expensive), to avoid this?
I have attached pictures of the dress, a strapless bra is out also since the back is sheer.

I would try the adhesive bra cups to give you the support or buffer and double sided fashion tape. It’s essentially tape for tops like yours that sticks to the top itself and skin/bra.

Forgot to mention, they’re pretty affordable. I’ve seen on amazon, target, prettty much anywhere that sells regular bras.

I second the adhesive bra. Not sure how well they work but it's worth trying.

My sewn in cups were only $20 at David’s, it was the easiest thing compared to the rest of the alterations.

I’ve tried sticky bras before, they hold up but get itchy when you’re sweaty. I thought they might not be the best for an August wedding

Oh wow, I assumed they’d be more expensive! Maybe I should check into that!

Yeah my SIL got alterations done and the lately basically sewed in the cups for free. If you go to the right place I don’t think it would be very expensive. Probably around the same price as a good adhesive bra ( depending on where you are located)

I would definitely recommend having cups added during alterations. Anything else will be really uncomfortable and won't work as well.

I paid like $15 to get sew in cups to my dress. I think that’s going to be your best option.
