Dress not here yet!

I don't know if I'd be comfortable with that, in the slightest. What about alterations? It might not fit perfectly and I'm not trying to stress you, but most alterations are done two months ahead of the wedding. It's not that it might not be able to be rushed, but most places are usually booked up at this point when it comes to stuff like that. I'd contact them and put your foot down, if it was promised in 3 months -- you shouldn't have let it get to this point. I would have raised more than a 'little' hell, this is your wedding and at this point... I'd almost feel like you should make sure you have a back-up in mind. Not to try and add to the anxiety, but it's good to have a Plan B.

Why the hell have they needed more than half a year to get your dress completed?

Agree with you that something needs to be done and I’ve been scoping out other stores. I just want my dress and the manager hasn’t been able to give answers. I am terribly sorry that you're having to deal with this as that is a main piece. I am super hopeful that you'll get what you want. I've read a few reviews and they seem to not be in favor of timely delivery, some people get it a week or a couple of days before. That is way too little time to do anything if the dress doesn't fit as it should. Check return policy on other stores if you get the urge to get another one, to be safe... and maybe not have to fork out money if you actually get the dress when you need it.

I would 100% start on a plan B. Nordstrom's and bhldn ship overnight and are 100% refundable within 30 days. I would order one to have on hand just to be sure. There might also be a dress shop in town where you can take the sample home same day. I would check them out too, but most likely that would be final sale. With Nordstrom or Bhldn you could at least get your money back if your original dress appears. Crossing my fingers for me!!

That is stressful to deal with. I would get a second dress as a back up. There are many locations where u can get a wedding dress expediated but it costs more money!I would raise hell cuz november is less than a month away.

You didn’t post about this before, right? Because I recall reading a post quite recently with someone going through the exact same issue with them— I don’t think it was you as I think the wedding date was even sooner 😱— she said that the store was telling her the dress was stuck in customs ! I’m not sure if there was a resolution mentioned ....if you search the forums for “ demetrios Macy’s” maybe you can find her post and reach out to see if she had any luck ?

View Quoted Comment I have a semi good update... the salon is going to reimburse me for the dress and the trouble. It’s coming in late next week they say... but I am skeptical and am about to go shopping at a sample store that sells dresses off the rack. Thanks for all the support ladies xo
