Dress Modifications? Opinion, please!

First, this is my dress! It's Mikaella 2233 and I adore it. They say the train is about 3 foot long - but it doesn't look like it to me in this picture, and I wasn't allowed photos at the boutique.

I'm planning on adding buttons to the back, where the invisible zipper is down the middle along my bum. What do you think?

I'm also considering lenghtening the train to 4 feet, but I'm not sure. It's like $200 for that extra foot. Is the extra drama worth it?!

It's a formal ceremony, in a gorgeous Catholic church, if that helps with deiciding!

Thank youuu

I think the buttons would be a beautiful addition!

As far as the train, I'm not sure I would do it. You're going to need to bustle it for the reception I'm assuming, so would the extra $200 be worth it?? So If I were you I would just go with a cathedral length veil, that would be stunning!!

The buttons sound like they would be beautiful. I personally wouldn't spend money on an extra foot of train, especially if you plan to wear a longer veil that will cover it up.

The buttons would add a nice touch but I agree with the train - don't do it. If anything you can get a cathedral veil and it'll be sort of the same concept. It's a very pretty dress by the way, I bet you'll look gorgeous

I'll have to bustle regardless I'm pretty sure. I'm planning a cathedral veil already and did the math for the custom length I'd need to have it be about a foot longer then the train if I decide to do it, lol.

I'm 5'4.5", I'll be probably in 3" to 4" heels. Probably more like three, but we'll do the medium of 3.5". So I'll be 68".

They said from the bottom hem, it's 36" long for the train (3').

I'm probably shorter then the model as well as the height the dress is made to, but that's getting way too hard for me to figure out.

Essentially, for my cathedral veil without the extension I'm looking for one around 115", and with, around 126". I'd like it to have pearls on it, but I'm still torn if the bottom should have lace? I don't want a fully edged lace veil. The struggle is real.

Tldr, it'll be bustled regardless most likely.

I plan on having a cathedral veil that extends beyond the length of the train. Which is why deciding length is important for the train so I know what length veil!

I also intend to have it bustled
