Dress Love

Anyone else fallen in love with a dress on Pinterest and discover it’s been out for a while so your hopes and dreams of finding/purchasing the dress go up in flames?

Found the Stardust Dress by Anna Kara and fell completely in love especially with the back pictured below. It’s from their 2018 collection so any chance of a store having one is super gone I’m sure.Dress Love 1

You can try sites like stillwhite.com where they sell preowned wedding dresses or sample gowns, you can search by designer

Allison is right! I actually got my dress from Stillwhite, pre-owned but never worn. It's a 2017 gown. Even though I never seen the gown until I started shopping on Stillwhite, it's a 2017 gown so still pretty lucky that it was available. Don't give up.

Stores might still have their sample! I got my gown by buying a sample on the other side of the country, because it was the only place that had the dress I was looking for, since it was discontinued

I’ve poked around in there but I’ll have to keep checking here and there. I don’t even know what size I’d be for it though so that’s the super fun part!

Did you call around stores or how did you find your dress as a sample across the country?

Oh boy it is a saga haha. I first tried it on in the wrong color and size in New Jersey Nov 2019, after getting engaged August 2019. But I was only in New Jersey for Thanksgiving, I lived in California. Graduated college, moved to WA state, decided that was the gown I wanted in June/July 2020. It had been discontinued. I panicked, and called local stores to see if there was any leftover stock they could order. Nope, totally gone. I called stores in multiple states all over the country, any store that had ever had it on their website, I called. Found it in my size in the color I wanted in a store in upstate New York. Bought it without seeing it in person, they had it cleaned and mailed it to me. It is absolutely perfect, I'm so glad I was able to get it! I knew my size and how to navigate everything because I worked in bridal for three years, so if you want any help figuring out your size or hunting down the dress, I'd be happy to help!

Ahhh yes I’ve eyed this one as well on Pinterest. The best bet is to look at current collections & take Pinterest for inspiration.

Check out the Halley dress from Desert Moon Bridal, it's different, but the same celestial theme. I just found this brand and the dresses are so pretty and under 1,000! Dress Love 2

Thanks for that! Honestly I'm in love with the back of this dress more than anything. We have a custom dress maker here in my city that I might end up talking to to see if they can do anything similar without copying the designer.

Oh my god! I e-mailed the designer yesterday in a long-shot bid to see if they had any still available or if they were still able to make it and they have it still!!!

I'm literally so pumped right now (and preparing myself to also be equally let down by this dress being way out of budget Smiley xd ).

    The back is stunning!!

That's what I ended up doing too! I LOVED the skirt of a specific dress, but hated the top, so I sent a custom designer inspo pictures and I am having it made! it's nerve wracking having to pay for it before actually seeing it complete and trying it on, but I'm hoping it works out perfectly!

I hope you get your dream dress!!
