My wedding gown is on it's way to me and should be here in a matter of days... However, there is a slight problem. The dress that I ordered is listed as "ivory", and the sample I tried on twice at the bridal salon was also "ivory". I remember thinking at the time that I expected the dress to be more yellow.I went ahead and ordered a gorgeous custom made veil from a seller on Etsy, and it arrived very quickly. It was gorgeous! But the first thing I noticed is that it is definitely yellower than my "ivory" gown. I contact the seller and she is amazing... she said she will exchange the veil for a lighter color... She said she's run into this issue before, and is positive my dress is actually "diamond white"... A shade of white between pure white and ivory.It's a Stella York dress... They are a Essence of Australia line (long with Martina Liana and Sorella Vita)... Has anyone had a similar situation from any of these dress makers?For the record, I'm not complaining! I love my dress and would exchange it ever! Just wondering if I'm not the only one who has run into this similar issue! I know some designers have different "fabric color ideas" for white, ivory, blush, champagne, etc etc...
Here is a picture of my dress at the bridal shop, before it was shipped out to me. You can tell its not "WHITE" but it's not super yellow either. Also attached pics of me in the ivory sample gown!
