I was unsure of what I wanted as well, so I decided to do a little window shopping by myself before setting an appointment. If a shop as an online store, I would also suggest giving they website a once over as well.

When you are booking an appointment with a salon, I would recommend mentioning that you have your heart set on a black dress. This will allow the salon to prepare dresses that they know for definite that can be ordered in black. That way you can avoid disappointment!

There is a great little tool in the Dresses section of the WeddingWire site, you click a number of dresses that you like and then it will tell you what style you are most likely to go for. It might give you some idea as to what style of dress you actually like. You should check it out!

I love all these dresses but I'd also recommend trying some different shapes, especially mermaid!

I just got my black Cocomelody dress yesterday and omg I highly recommend them!!! They have a Facebook group and an IG you can obsess over, and if you’re not plus sized they just started a limited try at home program! I’m so in love with my dress I didn’t want to take it off!
