Dress Dilema

I went back and forth debating whether I should make this post or not but since I don’t have any other brides in my immediate circle I knew I needed to come to a group of brides. I got my dress from David’s Bridal at the price point I wanted. The sales lady was kinda eh and didn’t seem to care too much on helping but since I was with my family and it was such a special moment I let it go. The dress I chose was the floor model and it was 6 sizes too big but it was discontinued. The lady assured me that I could get it altered to fit me and it wouldn’t be very expensive. When I went with my bridesmaids to try on their dresses we got the same sales person (I guess once you work with one you always get the same one) and again she was terrible. We got more input and customer service from one of the other sales ladies who happened to be there. She started asking me about my dress and when I told her it needed alterations she told me that from what I was describing the alterations could run me close to $1000 😳. My mom brought me my dress so I could try it on and get an estimate on how much the alterations would be. I was okay with the price but when I went back a couple weeks later for my first alterations appointment of course they tried to charge me double what I was quoted. Im not in love with my dress when it’s on me but I love the dress off of me. It is very comfortable and I feel like the day of my wedding I’ll feel different. I don’t know if it’s because I have yet to see if fitted to my size but buying another dress is not in my budget. I’d appreciate some honest opinions from fellow brides. Don’t mind my face this was after she quoted me the price lol
