Dress Delivery Delayed b/c of Chinese New Year!!!

I called the dress shop today b/c I hadn't heard from them about my dress delivery date(I posted about that a couple weeks ago). The manager of the store answered and told me that the dress will be here in six weeks-apparently China shut down for a month because of the Chinese new year so all the dresses got delayed! That means that my dress for my June 12th wedding won't be here until the middle of May at the earliest!!! Now I wouldn't be so upset except that I ordered my dress in September and was told that my dress would be here sometime between February and the begining of April. Now I'm going to have a month MAX to alter the dress. While I'm sure that can be done, I'm now super nervous that the dress won't make it here in time! The manager said she has never missed a wedding and that it will be here, but this is making me super stressed out. Has anyone else had this same problem? I need to know it will be ok! lol

Sorry to hear you are going through this. Im sure you will receive it in time. China always shuts down for a month due to Chinese New Year. You would of thought that they would have told you there would be a possible delay at the time you ordered your dress. Good Luck!

I would be annoyed if they told me in would be in by Arpil and now they are changing it to May too. They obvoiusly knew about the chinese new year. When I was shopping for dresses they told me about that but said b/c of that it would take about 4 months. Try not to worry, it will be there, it will just be a time crunch for alterations and hopefully you wont have to pay alot extra to get it done quick.
