Dress confusion

Liz, on February 25, 2020 at 3:52 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
Dress confusion 1I bought my dress back in November after one time shopping for dresses, and I originally loved it because of its simplicity but now I’m feeling like it’s too simple 😬 we’re having a small more casual wedding so I feel like it fits that, but when else will I get to wear a fancy dress? The dress is separates so I’m also considering looking for a different top

I think it's very pretty but I also chose a more simple dressSmiley smile I'd think on it for a week. I think everyone feels a little dress regret at some point.

Lots of designers sell beautiful removable A-line and ballgown skirts. You could wear the skirt for the ceremony, then take it off for the reception- Best of both worlds!

You can purchase a different top and essentially have two gowns.

You know what? My friend that got married last year when she was trying on dresses she was trying on something not too fancy and then her sister-in-law said something profound that even I think about how many times have you been a bridesmaid, don't choose a dress that looks like a bridesmaid. So when I went dress shopping I made sure that I wanted a dress that looks Bridal it where I felt like a bride. I think in your dress is beautiful but like you said how often are you going to be able to wear a real fancy dress. That doesn't mean you have to wear Cinderella's ball gown but I definitely feel like this is your special day regardless of the size of the wedding and the style of the wedding.

200% agree with this! Aint nothing wrong with a beautiful, simple dress (which yours is). I absolutely have wedding dress regret on and off, but I think it's just part of the pressure of only getting to wear one once. I do love your dress. the PPs have some great suggestions for fancy-ing it up a little bit, but I hope you still love it.

    Hi Liz,
I think many of us brides to be have some degree of dress regret, your dress is beautiful, listen to what your heart tells you to do! I tried on over 40 dresses before I decided and still think about my runner up dress constantly!Dress confusion 2

Totally agree. That entire dress is so elegant and timeless. I’d consider an overskirt.

I love your dress! I am currently torn between two dresses, and they are both simple. You can always add a belt and jewelry to give it some sparkle.
