Dress color options

Hey everyone,
I need some advice which I know may be difficult because everyone has different opinions on wedding dress colors. But, I’m ordering this dress online and they asked me what color I wanted it....by the picture it looks Ivory to me but they say that it’s champagne on the outer and ivory underneath. They can do the whole dress as ivory (which I’m not opposed to) but I really don’t feel like the color in the picture is champagne over ivory?? I’ve tried on a dress that was ivory over champagne and actually liked it! The appliqués on the dress is ivory in color which they did confirm for me. Do you think this is champagne over ivory? Thoughts on that color variation or what would you think would look better? I’m open to opinions hence why I’m posting this!

I don’t notice the champagne in that dress but photos can always be deceiving. I will say that this dress is stunning.

Is it referring to only the top part? I can see champagne there, but not in the skirt part!

Is there a store you can see it in person or better pics you can find at least?

I would be apprehensive to make such a large purchase online without having tried or seen in person personally. I do see some champagne, but it’s hard to tell. My dress is actually champagne and ivory. Just picked it up yesterday from my final fitting eek!

What place are you getting it from online? Do they have any other photos of it?

That dress looks gorgeous! In general, I prefer the lighter colors laying on top of the darker ones. It's hard to tell what color variations are happening in that photo.

I'm actually struggling with what color my dress is, and I've seen it in person, lol! The label says "light gold," but I really wasn't getting gold vibes from it. It keeps sticking in the back of my mind, though, because I'm definitely a silver person; I don't wear anything gold. Idk, I'm definitely overthinking it!

This looks like ivory over champagne (not the other way around). I often like the look of a having ivory over a slightly different tone (blush, champagne, nude, beige, sand, oyster) because I think it helps the detail of the lace or applique stand out, where the texture tends to get lost more if the overlay and lining color are the same. Depending on the manufacturer any of those colors can be really faint and just the slightest bit different from the ivory or can have a much darker, richer, more saturated tone that shows a lot more contrast when paired with ivory.

I'd definitely try to see both variations of the dress in photos and compare photos of different models in different light if you can. Do a search for the dress name and see if you can find photos of "real brides" in the dress as well. I bought my dress online (through StillWhite) and am super happy with it but the manufacturer website had a ton of "real bride" photos to look through so I could see photos of the dress on women of different shapes and sizes, with different skin tones, and in different lighting conditions and with different photograph processing. That gave me a better idea of what the dress would look like on me and made me a lot more confident in purchasing it online without being able to see it or try it on in person. It is really difficult to tell how a dress will look in person from only a single photograph, especially if that photograph is a professionally styled model and that model doesn't really resemble you at all.
