How do dress changes work exactly? Yeah, I know - you switch dresses lol But is there a certain way to do it?

Our wedding was originally supposed to be April 16 but was postponed and rescheduled to July 18.
What are your experiences with dress changes? Pros? Cons?

What I’m going to do is wear my ceremony gown for my first dance and when every one starts joining in after the change of song Ill quietly and quickly change and return.

You can change whenever you'd like! I had an "after party dress" I changed into about halfway through the reception when I was sweltering in my huge ballgown!
I've also seen brides change dresses in between the ceremony and reception, or change after the first dance and parent dances have finished!
