Lengthy post ahead, but so excited 😆
So I never EVER thought I would be the bride with two dresses, but here we are🙃. I am very budget conscious and happened to find a dress, through a pop up ad 🤣, that I really found I liked after a half second glance. It was two years ago and on sale at David’s Bridal. So off I went with mom to try it on. At the time I wasn’t with anyone so she was so confused 😅 but it just felt right and I bought it a month later for something like $170. It is a simple elegant gown.
I met my fiancé a couple months later. 🤪
So now we are wedding planning and set for pretty much everything seeing as we are tying the knot August 31. I happened to be perusing fb marketplace and discover people are selling wedding dresses. I am fine with my dress, but the thought of finding another was cool too, as long as it wasn’t anything crazy. For funsies, I look through a few quickly realizing that there are some I find stunning, but practically everyone selling in my area for a half decent price is a size 12, which is a bummer for me but meh 🤷🏾♀️
I stumbled upon a woman selling a really pretty dress in a style I like she got last fall from DB in a 6 and she was nearby!!! We meet and she sells it for even less because while she loves it, she had no room for it and would be happy to see it go to another bride 😭😭😭
Ended up paying $50 (and the promise of wedding day pics) for what was an $800 dress which fit me perfectly. I just got it cleaned and my grand total on dresses is still under $300.
First pic is the dress from two years ago which I will wear for the reception, and the next is dress two for the ceremony. 🤗🤗🤗
Mom also has no idea and neither do my cousins, so it will be a shocker for them. FH doesn’t know there are two so he’s going to be shocked as well. I’m excited for this all to happen!
