After watching all these shows on dresses, "say yes to the dress" and all that....I decided $2000 was the highest I could go and that was pushing it. I went to 4 different stores. and finally ended back up where i started, (Davids Bridal) and it was actually during a promo. Price tag was $1050 but I bought it for $850. It's perfect.

Went to David’s with a budget of no more than $1k (1/5th my entire wedding budget to be totally honest) but wanted to spend way less if I could! Before now the most expensive thing I’ve ever bought myself were a pair of $80 nonslip work boots I was required to get, and even then I wore those suckers to the bone before I was made to buy a new pair haha.

Ended up with a $2k dress on a discontinued sale for the amazing price of just a smidge over $500 when taxes hit. Minimal alterations too at just $81.19 so I’m satisfied Smiley smile My mom gifted me a tiara, and I just ordered my veil ($50-ish) so I’m excited to see it all come together!

My original budget was $1,000.00, but my future step-mother in-law surprised me and said that she wanted to buy my dress and that there was no budget - she wanted me to get whatever I wanted without price being a factor. We went to a few different wedding dress boutiques, and I ended up finding my dream dress for $2,200.00 (including taxes, but not including alterations.. which happened to be on the cheaper side compared to other dresses I tried on). Such a generous gift, and I'm so excited and thankful. It's a Theia gown.
