Have thought about bring someone else that is close to you? MOH? Close cousin? one of FH's close female family members?

Have you expressed to your mom that you need/want more from her? She may be trying to not step on your toes by having too many opinions?

View Quoted Comment My daughter is my MOH and she wasn't into it the last appointment. My FH's family lives in another state. I invited two of my cousin's they are two of my bridesmaids, one recently moved a little further away and one is getting over covid (she just tested negative).

Tell your sales associate you are looking for honest feedback on how flattering the dresses are and the vibe they project, and I bet your family may follow her lead. Sometimes it takes someone to start with the opinion giving for others to feel comfortable!

THIS! My consultant at a local shop, where I found my dress, always asked my opinion in the dressing room (she helped me get into a secure the dresses) BEFORE I went out in front of my guests, so that I had my own thoughts, not just theirs and she gave me her thoughts in response to me expressing mine.
