When did most of you find or meet with a seamstress for your dress? I'm not sure how many months ahead you are supposed to meet with them initially! Thanks!!

I just scheduled my first fitting with my seamstress for mid-May. Our wedding is in July. You don't want to do your alterations too early as you want to have your dress fitted to the body that will most closely resemble the body you'll have for the wedding.

My first fitting was December 7th. Our wedding is February 22. I will try it on January 25th. If everything is okay I will bring it home. If not, that will be my second fitting.

I just went this week and I’m getting married in May! I go in once more to try it one when she’s done a month before but also I’m not having anything extra done just basic alterations and bustling plus where I got my dress they have an in house seamstress!
