Hello, I had to change my venue from a resort to a backyard wedding. I've always wanted a more flowy dress with a slit in it, but I fell in love with this one. I want to take out the crinoline and horsehair to make it not as full at the bottom. Would adding a slit to it as well be insane? This is the dress I bought. Dress alterations 1

Dear Ashley,
Not at all! If your seamstress finds a good break in the lace, or adds lace onto the seam of the slit I think it would blend perfectly. It would also give you a bit more mobility!

Personally, I think the dress is pretty as is. I think taking the crinoline out will look nice, but I would not add a slit.
