Dress alterations too pricey?

I was quoted $481 for my dress alterations. That includes the hem, adding bra cups, the bustle (6-8 points), and fixing a hole in the arm pit (it's at the seam, so it's an easier fix. Those of you who have had alterations done, does that sound fair?

Your price is reasonable because your skirt is ornate. They can’t just lop off plain tulle, they have to address the lace. Alteration prices are a perfect example of sticker shock but a lot of work goes into it.

I live in Los Angeles! Everything here is stupid expensive 😒 so depending on where you are you should be good! My dress also has a floral overlay, so they had to remove all that and put it back on which jacked up the price

I had to pay $120 just for a bridesmaid’s dress to be altered from David’s bridal, so that price seems right for a wedding dress if you need a few alterations done to it.

Thank you!! The lady we had a consultation with does it out of her home. She was recommended by my bridal salon, but works separately

That doesn’t sound bad. I paid less for my dress and more for my alterations 😱
