Dress alterations at David’s Bridal

Alexis, on June 17, 2020 at 9:14 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
I pick up my wedding dress on July 9th from getting alterations done (hemmed and straps tightened). My wedding is July 25th and I’m worried my dress will be a little loose when I try it on on July 9th because I have lost 10 lbs. Will David’s bridal be able to take it in in the waist in that little time if it needs to be taken in?!

If they can't, another local seamstress probably can. 10lbs may not have a big impact on the fit of the dress though, so you could be in the clear.

More then likely, they might charge a rush fee though.

They may charge you out the butt if they know it’s a rush order, especially with the whole covid stuff. I have to get mine altered because it’s too long and I’m also having a corset back put in so I can loosen it or tighten it if needed ( I have health issues I bloat easily) Anyways I had gained ten pounds during covid and my wedding dress as is fit fine until I sat which the zipper unzipped a little because it was tight but the corset backing instead of the zipper should help plus I’ve lost 3 pounds again already so. As horrible as this sounds, you could always try to gain a little weight if it’s a little loose. Gaining is usually a lot easier then losing.

Definitely! It might take a little extra money, but it's totally feasible!!
