Dress advice pleaseee

Went dress shopping again. REALLY like this one below but it’s $550. Was hoping to stay $300 or below. Did any of you go above your dress budget? The price is the only thing holding me back.
The dress fits perfectly. Just need to add cups to it.

The boutique told me to make an offer and they would see if they could do it or not. But I’m not sure what to offer them... I would pay $400 but I don’t want to cheat them. Thoughts?

You have to counter in the fact that it fits!!! You could buy a dress for less but might have to pay more for alterations— so in the long run I say it’s worth ITV— go for it — make an offer - maybe put some down and the rest at another time — I would just be honest with them and see what you can can do to make it work

Thank you! I was thinking the same thing. I’m gonna wait until Monday as I have another appointment tomorrow with a different shop. Make an offer Monday. If they turn it down, I think I am going to end up getting it. I thought it was worth it considering alterations would be $20 to add the cups..

I wish I could post a picture!! The app won’t let me

If they said to put in an offer, go for it. They will likely counter offer, so be prepared for that.
$550 is a steal for a dress, and if it also doesn't require alterations you have done amazingly well!

That’s okay! And to be honest— if you’ve put this must thought into it. It’s because you feel like you should go for it and I agree with the other post too. That’s a score even for their asking price not needing any alterations besides cups !

Go for it. At least bid it up to $400 or $450. And cut something that matters less. Do your own bouts with $30 of flowers and materials, not $25 to $30 each person. Skip coursages, and go for small bunches of flowers in a vase at the dinner place of honored family women, with bulk flowers in cheap vases they take home. Lots of things will save $60 here and there, with minimal extra labor you can do easily without creating a time crunch. Think of the time you save not going place to place, hours and hours, for a $200 savings. Only to then spend time for 2 appointments plus paying for alterations. If it makes you happy, and you know it is right, this is worth the extra spending. It is all a trade-off. But you and FI are the center attraction. The reason you are paying for pictures. $200 over in bride's dress budget is worth doing .

I went way over budget too. I wanted to save and stay on my budget, boy was i wrong lol. But oh well, i just love my dress, Its very different than what i envision, but i can't wait to wear it. Plus any dress you try on, you won't stop thinking about the one you fell in love with. Don't do what i did. I ended up saying no to that dress, bought a cheaper one, never stop thinking about that dress and ended up buying it online. So now i have 2 dresses lol
