Dres fitting and I forgot........

amberrdoo, on August 28, 2014 at 7:48 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

Well, I live in San Jose and just landed in Burbank. Tomorrow is my dress fitting and I forgot my bra and don't have my hoop skirt yet. I feel like such a mess!!!!! Should I go ahead with the appointment or scrap it and schedule for two weeks from now?? Or should I buy another $65 bra and go without the hoop skirt. I feel like I'm going to have to come down in two weeks anyway.

Oh my god we only have 5 more weeks?!??!!!!!!

Scrap it.....I forgot my shoes at my final fitting....I ended up having to go back and get it re-hemmed. I only just got it back yesterday, waaaaay to close to the wedding.

Or is it super shady to have my friend to buy the bra and return it the next day?? Keep in mind, this was the only store I could find that has the corset bra and the owner runs the place. I'm pretty sure she would remember me!!

Buy the bra and return it! You'll essentially only be trying it on. It's not like you're going to run around town in it all day before returning it.

Did you buy a really special bra? Doesn't the bridal shop have a corset bras for you to try on with dresses? I would think you could wear theirs an it wouldn't be that different from the one you purchased. Same with skirt. Wouldn't the bridal shop Have that?

If it was me I'd scrap it and go two weeks later once you have your stuff.

as long as you are comfortable with the idea of your seamstress having 2 less weeks to work with.

I'd still go. You're in town- might as well see what they have. And your wedding is coming up soon, right?

Thank you everyone for your advice. I feel so much better!! I asked my aunt to assist. Apparently she explained the situation and the shop owner allowed us to borrow the bra at no cost. So awesome!!!!

We decided not to do a hoop skirt and are adding some tulle to the bottom so the length is shortened a little and no need to adjust the length. Everything worked out perfect!!

I don't know how I can be more excited!
