Dream Honeymoon - Fiji - Costs??

Rose, on September 13, 2020 at 12:20 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 15
Hello wonderful couples. So my fiance and I are scheduled to be wed in April next year, 2021. We would really LOVE to go to Fiji since that has been my dream Honeymoon vacation even in my early twenties.

For those who have gone, or have booked a trip to Fiji, how much does it usually cost for an all-inclusive trip for one week? We're probably flying from LAX or San Diego, CA.
We've looked into some info online and the all inclusive they have, aside from the flights, is just breakfast included. I thought lunch and dinner would be included too, except the drinks.
Any resorts you could recommend? We are highly considering the over the water bungalow.
Thanks guys! Smiley smile

It’s probably like Hawaii where all inclusive doesn’t truly exist.

Yeah, they’re not going to have you’re typical “all inclusive”. Your best bet is talking to a travel agent or your credit card company (if they have travel options).

My husband and I did Fiji for our honeymoon and we loved it! What I would suggest is to look at getting off the main island of Nadi and going to one of the smaller islands. This will give you more swimmable ocean and white sand beaches due to the resorts being built on an old marsh land on Nadi. We stayed at Paradise Cove ( https://www.paradisecoveresortfiji.com/) and it was the only hotel on the island and you had to buy their food package which comes with breakfast, lunch, and dinner but no drinks (it seems a bit pricey $100 per person per night) but the food was really good and it is a ton of food, we couldn't eat anymore after our 5 days there and they change the menu every two days. This place also offers an adult only area (no water bungalows sadly but very close to the beach) which has two pools and a bar and is very quiet. They also have a lot of little free activities to do <snorkeling, kayaking, fish feeding, swimming, crafts) and ones you can pay for like fishing or massages and such. I would suggest to stay on Nadi for a night or two and go do the mud pools one day it was one of our favorite things to do! We flew from Colorado and the entire trip including flights and such was around $6,000 for one week

    Hi Samantha,

Thank you so much for the info!! Great info!
What year did you go to Fiji for that package?
Did you do online booking or travel agency?
    Thanks,
    Rose

We went end of January 2019 and it was the off season so it was quiet there was no more than 12 people at the whole resort at one time. We booked it online it was really easy and I belive you can reach out to the hotel online and everyone was really nice and easy to work with. The only thing is you would have to take a ferry or sea plane to get to the island but it wasn't bad and actually fun.

The weather was nice it is summer during the time we went so it was sunny every day and it rained one nihjy. The ferry was not included in the package but I think it was only like $120/person or something along those lines and I think it depends when you go too

Oh that's good! And was the $120/person just one way to the island, or round trip?

If you go to an island that is closer it won't be as long but they have a ton of islands that they go to

We paid for the bulk of the trip in USD and then we went to the bank and exchanged USD to the Fiji currency for suvinors and fun stuff while we were there and then whatever money we had left over we re exchanged it but they do take credit cards too
