Down payments on venues

My reception venue is $850 I have to put down $300 to secure it and make monthly payments. It's almost paid off now!!! $250 more to go!!

My venue was $3,150, and I had to put down $500 to secure the date.

Mine was 4k and had to pay in full to secure it.

It depends on the venue. Our deposit was $1,500 but we have a food and drink minimum to meet rather than a set final cost. The deposit will be applied to our final balance. Another venue we considered was a banquet hall and they only required a $500 deposit which was a third of the total cost.

My venue asked for 50% down. Total cost of venue was less than 4K. That's just the venue not anything to do with food.

Our price is per person ($50-55) with a guest minimum of 75. We had to put down $1500.

Our venue is $4200 and we put down $2100. The rest is due a month before the wedding

Mines about 6000. We paid 500 to secure the date and give another 2500 6 mos in advance...to be clear my venue includes the catering so the final bill will depend on final numbers

Our venue is 5500, our down payment was 500 and full payment one month before the date. It's more than we were looking to pay but it includes all tables and chairs for ceremony and reception and it has an indoor site too just in case it rains.
