Doubt about your dress?

Martha, on February 9, 2020 at 11:23 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 28

Has anyone ever doubt about your dress choice after purchasing the dress? I have said yes to my dress but I cant help doubting my decision and wonder if I make a wrong decision. I am torned between these two dresses,
The one with the veil needs a lot of modification in order to be white (need to remove the first layer of nude color so it can be white) and shorten and reduce the lace around chest area. But I love the back of this dress.
The one I said yes to, only need to be shorten a bit and reduce the sides. Not much need to be done. I like the dress as it is.

Which do you think looks better? Please be honest.

I like the last one. I think dress regret is very common. I had dress envy. Id think about how I love my gown but then see how pretty all the other options are too

I think the first dress is beautiful. But if the second dress was in white/ivory, I think it would be a winner. The neckline is just different and I love the train. If it's in your budget, I would go for it but the dress you originally picked is beautiful as well.

In order for me to make the second dress white, I need to remove the first layer (which is nude color) the second layer after that is white. I'm not a fond of the more lace around the chest. It's a bit much. I love the train on both.

The second one is actually cheaper than the first one, another reason why I'm torn lol

Omg yes both are beautiful!!! I am torn between two as well. My mom made me doubt my yes to the dress I chose because she loved the other one too I did too but I didn’t like the top part of it. Here your both dresses you have are beautiful!! I do love the one you chose and the other one is so nice with the veil too. Oh man both both are really beautiful. You chose the one that made you feel the best? Did it make you cry?

The first one looks so good on you, it’s really flattering! Seriously, have you seen yourself!
But you know what you like best. If you really are pulled back to the second one, then go for it. You need to feel beautiful and confident on your big day!

Thanks, the second one did not make me cry. It does gives me the feeling of "Oh I'm a bride" because of the back and the veil. The first one, the one that I choose, I cried a bit after I said yes and I saw my mom cried.

I show my mom the photos and she loved the top one. If it made you cry is that one. Keep it. My family tells me too. No second guessing. You chose it, you look beautiful in it and it’s YOUR wedding dress! 💕

Yes I love the train, I love the back as well as the front. There is nothing I want to change with the first one. I guess I just feel torn because the second one is cheaper and I do love the back of it...not the front though. LOL so confusing. I kept trying to think back at how I felt with both dresses and that doesnt help Smiley laugh

Aww Thank you so much Smiley smile

I'm just being doubtful because I want to be sure that it is the one (since I cant show it to my fiance, it's hard to decide)

Ahh that’s tough! I like the second one more! And I do agree that it would only be perfect if it was completely white. I tried not to look at other dresses or think about what I had previously tried on, but it’s definitely harder to do then say.

I like the first one more! The fact that you like it as is with little to do is always a plus on the pockets. I think if you have to do too much to the other one, it would end up costing more than what the already white dress costs. I personally think the white one suits you.

I think the first one fits you best but if you have time change your dress. I am going dress shopping again as I have dress regret and nothing wrong with that. Smiley smile

I love the first one. you just look more comfortable in it only just standing there. i can't imagine how much you're going to glow on your wedding day with that dress. and let me tell you, the meaning of you and your mom both crying is huge. my mom passed away and i chose the dress that i cried in and i felt my mom in it. so go with your gut Smiley smile

I love the first one. It's beautiful on you! I sometimes forget what I looked like in the dress I said yes to and start thinking, do I really like it? But I said yes and it's too late to change my mind. It was the only dress I teared up in. I had a big smile on my face and didn't want to take it off.
